Never uninspired.

I have been absent from the blogging world but I have not been absent from my constant pursuit of inspiration. Here are a few images that I have recently taken that may spark some interest:

The ever beautiful Beverly Hills Hotel.

Break through

Lifestyle Presentation.

When approaching my fifth quarter here at FIDM, I was fully aware that I needed to take Lifestyle Presentation. But, little did I know that this was going to be the hardest class I have had yet. The class is ALL home product(What? Don't I go to a FASHION school here??). One would believe that home product would fairly easy, but when thrust out of the bubble of fashion, home product can become frightening. The first seven weeks of class were the hardest for me. It was incomprehensible to me how to create a balanced and well composed atmosphere out of these objects. Last week I had a break through, and now I am not only proud of myself but astonished at how fast I can create upon getting it through my hard fashion centered head.

This quarter I promised myself that I would put forth as much effort as I possibly can, juggling a full time job and school work, and I've never been happier with my projects. Just this quarter alone I've got some amazing portfolio pieces and would like to share them to the world wide web.

These pictures are only from Lifestyle Presentation as I cannot put more than 5 images in.

Good day, I am mentally preparing myself for an all nighter!(:

Truckin'

Well folks it's that time again, finals. Now this will be my first quarter of finals that I am able to document, or lack there of, for you. What does this mean? All nighters, red bull, coffee, no time, and TONS of projects. In the midst of working on one of my many projects I had the privilege to break free from my apartment and step out into the world to take pictures of window displays around town. I found myself wondering through Beverly Hills in the Robertson/Beverly Center area, where not only did I find what I needed for my project but also some unsought for inspirations in the form of wall art and electric boxes. Here is what I saw:

What I love

Recently I took a trip of a life time to Paris with FIDM. The trip was two and a half weeks of pure excitement, beauty, wonder, and exploration. Traveling with FIDM gave me a wonderful opportunity to meet and hear the stories of people in the industry. Every morning we had appointments with ateliers, trend forecasters, and other fashion industry connoisseurs that extended through the afternoon. By mid day we were free to roam the city and live the Parisian way to the fullest. This meant of course going to cafes drinking cafe, vino, fromage, and baguettes. We also visited some museums and the most beautiful place my eyes have seen, Monet's garden (where I took the picture to the right). All twenty one of us were quite sad to say au revoir, or my most used french word bonsoir, to the city of love.
The pictures that I have included below are from the first set of film I had developed. From the looks of it, it was the second one I took. The sad part is: I do not have anymore film as whilst in the process of saving money and getting them developed by a friend across the country, the other seven rolls were lost in the mail. I did take pictures on a digital camera also but these were mostly of the activities that took place after the sun went down and do not capture the complete essence of Paris.
Fun Fact: As the most recognized installation in Paris the Eiffel Tower was not meant to be a permanent one.

AMAZING shoe.

One of our appointments was at a man named Bruno's workshop. He creates all the decorative flowers, feathers, and hats for couture designers.

This photograph is of a plethora of petals that Bruno had laid out to dry after dying, before they are molded into shape.

All ac cross Paris there were different signs for the Metro. This is one of them, I took pictures of them but they are amongst the lost.

I'm BAAAACK

Hello All,

So after 2 years I have decided that I'm going to take a crack into the bloging scene again.

What has happened in these 2 years?
I live in Los Angeles.
I go to the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising.
My major is Visual Communications.
Annnnd I'm almost done, in my 5th quarter with one more to go.
I always thought I wanted to be a stylist but now I'm uncertain.

Unlike my previous posts, I will not be using this to show my personal self expression but to showcase inspirations that I see in the simple pleasures of daily life.

So I hope that, this is enjoyed by the viewer as much as I enjoy it.
